Short summary of position
To keep company aircraft based at line stations in an operating condition by performing routine and unscheduled maintenance, make repairs, and complete inspections as well as accompany the aircraft on flights if necessary.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Performing maintenance, rectification of defects and troubleshooting in accordance with company and manufacturer procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with valid revisions of regulations, procedures, processes, instructions and aeronautical laws within the area of responsibility.
- Performing maintenance – repair and servicing as covered by current PART-66 AML and company authorization.
- Reporting airplane defects and incoming aircraft status to MCC.
- To perform the complete function of a traveling technician as and when required.
- To assist with the logistics and spares management at line stations.
Skills and Qualifications
- Hold a valid A320 SACAA AME license (Categories A and C), with V2500 series engines (CFM advantageous) or equivalent.
- Have an up-to-date EASA experience logbook reflecting most recent 5 years’ experience.
- Have successfully completed EASA basic examination modules training (13 modules for Mechanical) or be able to obtain certification.
- Have successfully completed A320 B1 + B2 Type training at an approved 147 training facility.
- EWIS and Fuel Tank Safety training advantageous.
- RVSM training
- Must have a sound knowledge of aircraft systems and subsystems.
- Line maintenance experience advantageous.
- Have an excellent understanding and application of Aircraft systems and sub systems, the MEL and MOP.
- Must be aware of all SOPS.
- Prepared to work shifts which will include weekends and Public Holidays.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Good English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Computer literate.

- Ability to work as a team and coordinate work.
- Valid driving license.
- Valid Passport.
- Willing to be seconded for a term to line or base stations worldwide as required by the Company.
- South African citizen or be eligible to work in South Africa.
- Relocation to be at the applicant’s own cost.
