About this Role
The Chief AME Avionics is responsible for leading and managing avionics personnel within the Base Maintenance environment, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, internal quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. The role oversees the effective utilization of facilities, resources, and equipment to ensure the aircraft fleet remains serviceable through high-quality maintenance, repair, and modification activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all avionics activities on aircraft, including servicing, maintenance, modifications, and fault rectification.
- Supervise and manage avionics personnel across Base and Line Maintenance operations.
- Perform and oversee inspection duties in line with company approvals and regulatory requirements.
- Control and coordinate aircraft and ground equipment movements within Base and Line Maintenance environments.
- Ensure delivery of effective technical solutions to meet operational schedules and optimize resource utilization.
- Develop, review, and implement maintenance procedures, processes, and standards within the hangar and apron environment.
- Actively participate as a key member of the Maintenance Team, collaborating with CAMD, MCC, OCC, and Quality Assurance.
- Maintain a professional and safety-focused approach to all work activities.
- Coordinate and interface effectively between Apron, Hangar, Stores, and other internal departments.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) License in Avionics.
- Current company approval on Airbus A320 or A330, or A340 aircraft.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in aircraft avionics maintenance within a Base Maintenance environment and or 3 years’ experience in a supervisory position.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within an aviation maintenance setting.
- In-depth knowledge of aircraft avionics systems, troubleshooting, and maintenance practices.
- Strong understanding of aviation regulations, airworthiness requirements, and safety standards.
- Experience working within an Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO).
- Demonstrated ability to interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and maintenance documentation.
- Proficiency in maintenance planning systems and technical reporting.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and be available for operational requirements.
